We enjoyed a marvelous day today at a local meeting...
It was spectacular! We enjoyed singing some total fav's from our home community meettings Blessed be your name, Indescribable and G of Wonders! We thought we were nearly back home...but we thought of all those at home and wondered who was in the front row this July 27th?
Wonderful night tonight. We gathered at the Chancellor's home for our final night here in our temporary spot, we flight further inland tomorrow...
There were 40 some people gathered, several of the short-term workers who are here from Dallas Baptst Univ, and it was a glorious evening of singing and sharing personal stories about our Dad and His goodness and guidance in our lives! So encouraging!
During the evening the newly formed "H Family Singers" paraded down the spiral staircase here to sing a few beloved numbers..."Jingle Bells" (introduced by Magpie as a "tune to cool you down in this heat", then "Jsus Loves Me" (with dramatic hand motions offered by Brownie (who I've erroneously called Busy Bee in the past few posts), followed by "Jsus Loves the Little Children" and finally a composition they wrote just within the past few hours.
Today's main drama was that The Bug quit the choir 4-5 times under protest that:
1) She didn't sing well enough
2) People don't appreciate her singing
3) She didn't agree with the repertoire that was chosen
4) She wanted to write her own song to be done as a solo version
5) All of the above repeated over and over again in a highly dramatic fashion!
Dad and I just laughed and laughed...where does she get that drama thing?
Dad insisted that as I shared his embarrassing moment...that I should share with you that at EVERY MEAL thus far I have dropped food...LOTS OF FOOD...on my clothing and have had to bear the indignity of wearing out various colors and smears of our culinary exploits all over town! Everything needs stain remover and I have been shamed that at least in the past two meals, Brownie has negotiated her noodles from her plate, utilizing her chopsticks and into her mouth with greater skill than I!
We'll write more from our new location as soon as we're up and running...
We're missing you so...but feeling alive with the adventure of following tonight!

Thanks for another update on the blog. I wonder how you can find time to get to the computer and enlighten all of us about your travels. Even though I am amazed at your getting these notes to us, I check my computer at all hours of the day and night. Then I check the clock to determine what part of the day you are living in compared to where I am.
Then I wonder why I didn't tie my children to my apron string so they would be by my side physically in my time zone. First of all, I'm not much of an apron wearer. Secondly, my kids wouldn't have been allowed to experience more of the world than my little spot.
I repeat: Hire someone to help load the luggage. Oh dear, maybe you already have it loaded and you are on a plane?? Could it be that you can manage this quite well without my advice.
Time here to get showers and go to a gathering. We probably will see Rockstar, Princess and Butterfly. Butterfly was to return yesterday (or maybe it was the day before) from a journalism workshop. Rockstar isn't working today. Princess likes her new job.
Our new Teacher sat in front of us today. In the H family front row.
Hurumph. Except that it was nice to see a growing family sit in the spot that our dear friends vacated.
Mr. K remarked that it might be time to switch spots though - too surreal. I don’t know though, with so many changes … is it up to us to hold the fort?
Mr. K also thought that Dad’s attempts to relieve some pressure seemed admirable, since it would have been worse in the more confined space of home … of course, I think he was just getting some ideas for the future.
That Bug. I anticipate that she will be teaching a class or ten before you know it. There is some serious leadership in her future.
Sing on sister. Sing on.
I am going to keep this short so i can see if it worked. i wrote a nice long letter and it didn't go through!! If this works I will be sending more blogs to you!!!
Hey guys! Yes we missed you here at the home meeting. There was a new family sitting in the front row. You might remember meeting Bill, Darby and Kate? Bill even got up and spoke giving us a timely message that encouraged us all!
By the way the H family patriarch forgot to actually write down his last few hours on his T card. Could really use that information one last time. I can't believe I have to harrass him all the way on the other side of the world! By the way - did you know they made a musical out of AbbA songs? It's called Mama Mia and it's terrific. I thought of you Mama H and all the razzing I took from you because I like AbbA. Now I'm saying Neener Neener Neener!!!
