Above: In the train station at The New Place...our good friend took us there and helped us find our way!

Above: Our dear friend and the family demonstrating the close knit qualities of the train car.

Above: The conductor and another worker on the train were eager for a photo shoot.

Above: The now often camera-shy Brownie, warms up for a shot with her friend on the train...this gal brought her STRAWBERRIES!

Above: On the Hong Kong Metro line...close quarters again...but good travelers still face it with smiles!

Above: Brownie took a keen interest in this little guy...she commandeered the seat next to him on the Metro and spent her time practicing her local dialect on him...he just smiled...

Above: Bub on the Snoopy World Playground in Hong Kong...I once again can understand why some mothers eat their young...he is so darling!

Above: The H Family kids trying out some new poses for their upcoming album cover...

Above: Potato enjoying the warmth and sunshine

Above: Post knee injury (see previous post for description)...it was more difficult to console the kids after witnessing my dramatic crash on the escalator...

Above: In the "special situation" room of the Hong Kong Metro station...one trained professional...many concerned "nurses" look on anxiously

Above: We had the best flight ever on Emirates airlines...Magpie however misread the itinerary and called it "Ear mites" Airlines...we shall never call it by it's other name again...
The flight attendants were the most lovely, professional and pleasant on any flight I've ever taken. The airline gave the children PUPPETS along with their special "Kids Meal."
The girls kept asking..."When can we fly on Ear Mites again?"

Above: In Bangkok, the kids got right into their summer wear and hit the swing set in the courtyard of the Bangkok Christian Guest House...great place to stay for a family as large as ours!

Above: In the lobby of the BCGH, we also got down to business on our second most popular pass time thus far on this trip...EATING ICE CREAM!

Above: Our first trip out in a Song Thao - a pickup with benches in the back...this is Bob & Cris Davis' rig...they took us out to see some of their work outside of Bangkok

Above & Below: Magpie and The Bug helped at a children's outreach meeting at a local school...the children learn English and are taught various stories from the Bible

Above: The aforementioned "puppets" from Earmites Airlines give a performance before bedtime

Above: the streets of Bangkok were full of little shops crowding out the sidewalks. The Bug and Brownie show particular interest in some dresses we passed by.

Above: Traffic in Bangkok is a mess...we sat in a taxi one evening for 45 minutes and only traveled 1 kilometer! We learned how to take the sky train and found it much more effective in getting us around.

Above: We found a MEXICAN restaurant in Bangkok...see the elated faces on the patrons above...Potato said "Daddy...can I REALLY have a quesadilla?"

Above: A poor shot from our taxi of one of the seemingly millions of Wots (temples) here in Thailand, each one more ornate than the next.

Above: In the train station of Bangkok and all female platoon of soldiers awaited their train alongside us

Above: The view of countryside out our train car window heading North in Thailand...Daddy said "Take away the palm and banana trees and it looks just like Bow, Washington." Yeah...right.

Above: After 15 hours on the train behind them, these travelers are ready to roll once we reached the train station in Chiang Mai

Above: Like a typhoon sweeping in...we take Chiang Mai by storm...

Above: The white house behind all the foliage is our retreat home here in Northern Thailand...absolutely beyond all we imagined or could hope for...

Above: The kitchen and sitting room of the four room building

Above: Magpie and The Bug try our their beds

Above: Bub is digging the whole water thing...a lot

Above: The Bug, rosy-cheeked and rested after our first day

Above: Just a couple of the friends we've met here...all these kids live/work within a 4 hour train ride of each other

Above: Hour 16 in the pool is as fun as all the others it would seem

Above: Headed out to church last night the girls enjoyed their ride in another Song Thao

Above: On our way to the "Sunday Market" we enjoyed a speedy, open-air ride in a Tuk Tuk

Above: Magpie at breakfast today
We'll post some more things in the days to come....hope you're not overwhelmed/bored at all the photos...
Will post again soon...

Well tell "dad" that Bow is perpetually covered in snow...it snowed again last night...I did not see any snow in that picture. :) It snowed there so much in Dec. my parents had $5,500. in damages done to their house. Yep, too much of a good thing is well, not so good. :)
