Just a quick post to tell you that we had an action packed day in Bangkok yesterday!
It was really great and the warm temperature is adding to the euphoria.
We were able to go and see both of the families from The Old Place who are here through MBMSI. What an encouraging and uplifting time! Though we all fell into bed, WITHOUT cleaning our dirty feet (horror!), we woke up today feeling rested and very joyful!
We're going to run about Bangkok today searching for a bread maker. We've heard a rumor that a 22o volt bread maker can be had here...and since we've gone without eating bread that tastes like bread for 6 months now...it's worth the effort to lug it all over SE Asia to get it back to The New Place.
Tonight we catch the night train to Chiang Mai. The kids are thrilled as they LOVE going on the train. We'll arrive tomorrow morning and transfer to the retreat center there where we estimate it will take the kids .5 minutes to get their suits on a get to the pool!
We've already had such a wonderful time connecting with other cross-cultural workers. Seeing their kids and hearing their stories. There should be dozens more families like ours at the retreat center and we're excited to hear their stories too.
