The majority of this batch of pictures is clearly to gratify the Grandmother's who are back There while their
grand kids are Here for the Holiday season. With that being said, we enjoyed a somewhat different holiday because of the "foreigner" presence with us this year. Last year we felt quite lonely being just our family and one colleague for Christmas. This year we had 3 days off of school and had lots of time for rehearsing a Nativity that our "foreign" kids performed 3 times! It was a real hit as many of our guests knew little of the story behind Christmas.

Above and Below: A few shots of Christmas morning.

Below: It was the year of the enormous Teddy Bear. You cannot imagine the hit these things were with the kids. I've always frowned upon them as "impractical"...but, I have never seen our kids more delighted with a Christmas morning surprise. Now, for family movie time...the bears serve as their massive pillows.

Above: Mary with the baby Jesus.
Below: Mary and Joseph enter Bethlehem on the back of a donkey.

Above: The Inn Keeper smilingly told them that there was no room in the Inn.

Above: All the foreign kids received the special gift of hand-knitted sweaters by our Chinese family here. They're modeling them here for a shot.

Above and Below: The day before Christmas we had a more "intimate" cooking baking party.

Above: Bub, while a great appreciator of fine cookies, enjoys driving anything on wheels around in the kitchen.

Above: We gathered with some 40 local folks to have a Christmas party...it was a great evening...this was one of the opportunities the kids had to do their nativity.

Above: Rehearsing lines for the big performance.
