Qian Qian's Photo

At last we have some photos of Qian Qian for you.

These were taken with a cell phone camera...so the quality is not too good...but, you'll get to see the dear boy we're working to help!

The latest on his situation is that we're in negotiations with two local hospitals to help us either get very inexpensive or possibly even subsidized surgery.  Two organizations can help us, but Qian Qian and his mother would have to travel several hours away for the first surgery alone (and he will need several over time.)

His mother is registered as a countryside resident in rural Guizhou province.  It is widely accepted that this is the poorest province in the country.  This complicates matters as to obtain subsidized help for Qian Qian he should be a resident of this city and province.  So, prayers are needed for this negotiation to be favorable!

The final photo is of his mother and ayi (mother's younger sister) who is helping in the process to house them here in the city.  She will also be key when it comes to the surgery time as the mother speaks only the rural dialect of her home province...essentially a foreign language to everyone here in this city.  However her mei mei (the baby's ayi...or auntie) speaks the common language of the country and the mother's local dialect.

Continue to hold this little group in your prayers!
