We figured out that it had been nearly a year since we had a Date Night!
Hopefully you'll get a feel of the Night Market, a huge attraction here in Chiang Mai and a bit of the city...
Above: The market sells all sorts of these beautiful laterns...they light up the night and give the market an exotic feel
Above: Thai silk is well known for its brilliant colors...there are tons and tons of different offerings of this fabric from tissue box holders to table runners to every type of clothing
This is our final post from Chiang Mai.
Tomorrow morning we catch our flight back down to Bangkok and then over to Hong Kong.
We'll be enjoying the Christmas Gift from Grandma D and Papa G on February 1st...Hong Kong Disneyland! (While of course wishing our dear Uncle J a Happy Birthday while we're riding through the "It's a Small World" Ride!)
The second we board a ferry and head over to a small island off Hong Kong for our organzation's retreat....
On the 6th of February...back to the frozen North...which hopefully will begin to thaw out soon...
This time of retreat has been amazing...so refreshing and really needed for our family. We've had time to laugh and talk deeply about our next term in The New Place...lots of challenges ahead of us. We will start to work more intently on our Local Dialect now...and of course, deepening our relationships with all the precious people surrounding the school where we serve.
We'll write more from Hong Kong...should be lots of crazy pictures still ahead...
Blessings to All!

Absolutely amazing! The pictures really make you come right through the computer screen to me here in the U.S. And get some of the experience alongside you...so incredible to watch your wild adventure.
Wow, my grandfather bought us a trip to Disney too! We are going to CA the last week of February.
I was just chatting with a friend who lives in Taipei, Taiwan on Skype. All this technology helps make the world a little smaller. :) We loved the pictures!

You both look great! It is so good to hear that you are becoming refreshed after some very trying experiences in The New Place.
Enjoy the Disney experience. I'm wondering how similar the one there is compared to the ones in the USA.
Hugs and Kisses to all. (LG/LEO)
