Unexpected Blessing...

I was riding to the hospital on a city bus today, ready to take my shift with The Charmer at the hospital when Daddy called to say that the surgeon had come to the hospital room, armed with new information from an early morning X-ray...and was sending us HOME to recuperate!!!  This was truly a shocking and most fantastic blessing as we anticipated days more in the hospital!  As The Charmer's hip looked good in the x-ray and due to his drop in overall pain at the surgical site today...the surgeon said we would all recoup better at home!  Can I get an amen?!

So we rushed home!!! (Before anyone changed their mind!!!)

Daddy and I have to go back tomorrow to do more paperwork.  A return trip for The Charmer was ordered for Wednesday for x-rays, wound check, and redressing of the bandages.  We'll also know how long we're going to wear this particular cast and when the leg will start to be moved "lower" closer to a natural position.

Above: Happy boy to be home in his new bed in the living room...he's going to spend a lot of time here!

Above:  The sibs visit...and yes, we did nearly bring the entire hospital ward to a complete stop.  Dozens of people took photos, our roommates shook their heads in wonder.

Will give some more updates as I'm able during this very crazy week of moving The Charmer's care to our home base...

Everyone looks amazing and The Charmer look content with his new accommodations!
