We have a bed...

Bed 1529 - our home away from home for the next several days.

Up early this morning, heading to the hospital in 30 minutes.  The Charmer needs to skip breakfast (he's going to LOVE that) and then we're off....

We signed all the papers last night, I think they said that we hold everyone harmless...and that we agree with the surgery...

Went down to the window with a thick stash of cash...paid at least the majority of the cost for this first surgery...

Even had to give our dear friend Sarah's name who gave blood especially for The Charmer...B+...what a hopeful sounding blood type!

The Charmer, smiling for you in 1529.  Then said, "okay,I'm ready to go home now."  Sorry, pal.

Above:  Our room has three bedsand three families in it.   Two other boys who have had surgery...their eyes were WIDE when they saw the foreign family come in.  They were really lovely

Above:  The view from the door.  We're just across from the nurses' station and we have the "window" bed.  You can likely see here how difficult the prospect is of getting cots into the rooms for family members to stay with the patients!

We covet your prayers.  We're first into surgery this morning.  Daddy and the kids will all go to school and I will sit by the big door waiting for them to his name so I can help transfer him from the surgical bed to the gurney.  He'll have local anesthesia, and hopefully will have a good rest...

I will update when I can, keeping in mind that the hospital has no internet.  Perhaps I'll ask one of the big sisters, Magpie or The Bug to pop on here and at least post the latest for those of you praying along...

We KNOW this.  He has prepared all of this for us, provision has come in, the specialist doctor here from Switzerland to do the surgery, and a community of Family who are doing everything imaginable to stand with us during this time...

Exceedingly, abundantly more than we can ask or imagine...that is how He does it.

Thank you so much for these updates. I love seeing that smile and hearing how well he is doing!
