105 Degrees...and we're still standing...

...Well maybe it would be better said...still sweating.

Yesterday we experienced a new high in temperature we think...105 Degrees. Sorry that all of our posts mention the heat. But truly, it's a topic that keeps on givin' to us. Today however is cooler. Looks like some thunderstorms might threaten...would love to see that rain coming down.

Still no AC today. Our attitudes are holding strong...though I fight it more than Dad does. He goes about smiling and impressing all the colleagues here. My jealousy continues to grow.

The verdict is out on the Bulletin Board wars. Soon I hope to post pictures of his and mine...and let you decide. I feel like it might be a moot point however due to the fact that Dad's fawning colleagues have already drafted him to do all the work for the English lettering on the school's logo at the front door.

You guessed it...free hand block letters again. This time in a new medium. He never ceases to astonish them here. My jealousy rages on.

The official word for today is that we can have the keys to our real apartment on Monday! YEAH!

I'm thinking they'll soon be asking Dad to do the block letters for the individual units in the new building.

We're waiting for some more furniture for our home. The kids bunk beds are here and they are thrilled. Although I did her Magpie appealing to her Gramma Juice back at The Old Place to support her beloved grandkids by buying mattress toppers for their beds. Magpie said that she jumped onto her new bed and face-planted as though she had landed on a pile of bricks.

On a serious note for your thoughts...we have two medical issues happening with our dear parents...we need you to lift up Dad's dad, Papa George, he and Grandma D we've just heard, are at the Mayo Clinic this week for some intense testing to try and discover the source of a recurrent infection. And my mom, Gramma Juice is having outpatient surgery on Friday morning for a torn meniscus in her right knee.

It is always hard to be away from our precious families but harder still when these things arise.

Hope you're all enjoying the end of your summer. We love you so.
